Every flower arrangement comes in at least two forms: the first when the flowers are new; the second when adjustments are made to accommodate the materials that remain after a few days.
In the former post, the sunflowers were fresh and the stems were strong. Since then, the stems have softened. They could no longer support the weight of the large flower heads.
Given the transformation of the flowers, I transformed them further by cutting the stems and lining them up in a long yellow line, like sentinels in bright golden dress.
Finding the "something more" in a flower arrangement is nearly as much fun as creation of the original.
Inspired idea, Bethene. Isn't it fun to find ways to keep flowers with us after their "best" moments?

Naomi, I'm delighted to see you've been back! (I'm enjoying reading about your new life on the West coast, too.) Bethene
