Saturday morning the sun shone bright and clear. Four of us had signed up for a photo shoot in Central Park and we were excited to see what kinds of autumn stories we might be able to tell.
On a former trip to the park, I had walked all around the park looking for pictures. Saturday we walked into the park some 300 feet or so and began to look around. In front of us we observed a tree and a food cart and wondered, "What can we do with those?"
Our teacher, Brad, encouraged us to look at the shadows cast by the nearby fence and to consider how they could make our photographs more interesting. "Photographs are stories in light," he said to us.
After we had captured some of those stories, we engaged in some shadow play. This was our chosen group portrait.
