My first sighting of crocuses, 2010, came on Tuesday, March 9. It was a beautiful day, and, after a couple glorious hours in the Metropolitan Museum, my friend and I headed for a walk in Central Park. There, so close to our entry point, was this little proclamation of crocuses, a sure
sign spring is returning.
