Flowers make people feel better, happier and more helpful; they are sunshine, food and medicine for the soul. Luther Burbank, horticulturist and gardener
Recently Harvard published findings on their Home Ecology of Flowers Study. The findings confirmed what Burbank observed so long ago. According to the Harvard results, living with flowers strengthens feelings of compassion; decreases anxiety and worry; and provide a boost of energy, happiness and enthusiasm--at work. In short, flower power is felt not only at home but also in the work place.
Having returned recently from a short time away, I was unable to get flowers for a few days and I missed them. When I was given a stem of eucalyptus and another of an alstroemeria. I arranged them in a simple way and immediately felt better. Amazing. These flowers from our most recent flower practice celebrate the coming of summer. Ariel's arrangement is first; mine is second.
